What does PSSR mean before the project is handed over?
Safety inspection before driving, or completion inspection!
The Pre-Start-Up Safety Review essentially involves the heads of various departments within the company and personnel from the supervision company going to the site to evaluate the entire process plant or equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements. The inspection items are listed in tables in advance, such as those related to electrical and instrumentation systems, machinery, processes, etc.
PSSR prior to project handover refers to the client’s preliminary inspection before the handover of the construction work; it involves checking the site construction in accordance with the final design, preparing technical documents, and conducting thorough inspections and verifications across various specialties in order to identify any remaining issues or potential problems.
(PSSR) Pre-commissioning safety review: The design contractor may, in accordance with the contract provisions, participate in and assist the pre-commissioning safety review carried out by the general contractor (or production unit) prior to the commissioning of the plant.
