Error in the length of the valve

I would like to know whether there can be some variation in the length of valves during on-site assembly, compared to the lengths specified by national or American standards. Also, I want to know how these valves are installed – are any adjustments made to the valves based on those purchased? Because I think that if it’s just two flanges, then when the valve is installed and connected with bolts, one end will surely not be tightened properly.
General-purpose valves are manufactured according to standards; their pressure rating and diameter are fixed for a given length, unless they can be customized to meet your specific length requirements through additional design work
