(Wrong) There is also the impeller; packing is not necessarily one of the main components – a mechanical seal may be used instead, or it could be a magnetic pump that doesn’t require any sealing. 2. “Three diligences” refer to frequent inspections, regular communication, and timely repair of leaks.
