The propane dehydrogenation to propylene project, which is to be invested in and constructed by Zhangjiagang Yangtze River Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yangtze River Petrochemical”), a subsidiary controlled by Donghua Energy Company, is now ready for construction; it will proceed from the preparatory stage to the actual construction phase. The relevant progress as of the date of this announcement is hereby reported as follows: 1. The propane dehydrogenation to propylene project has received the approval opinion issued by the Suzhou Environmental Protection Bureau regarding the environmental impact assessment report for Zhangjiagang Yangtze River Petrochemical Co., Ltd.’s 1,200 kt/a propylene project (Document No. Su Huan Jian [2011] 335). 2. Yangtze River Petrochemical has signed a Patent License and Engineering Design Contract for a 600,000 tons/year Oleflex propane dehydrogenation unit with UOP LLC in the United States. Under this contract, UOP LLC shall grant various patents, know-how rights, and technical expertise to Yangtze River Petrochemical for permanent use in the various process units of its propylene plants. 3. The safety assessment procedure for the propane dehydrogenation to propylene project has been completed
