A shell-and-tube heat exchanger needs to be designed; the temperature of the heat source is around 900°C, and it is necessary to lower this temperature to about 800°C. Hot air is produced as a result of the heat exchange process. The inner diameter of the tubes through which the heat source fluid flows inside the shell is 700 mm.
