Ladies and gentlemen: Last year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the \"Guidance Catalogue on Phasing Out Outdated Production Processes, Equipment, and Products in Certain Industrial Sectors.\" In the chemical industry category, the first item concerns the sulfuric acid industry: “Sulfide ore-based and sulfur-based acid production facilities with an annual capacity of 100,000 tons or less (except in remote areas).” I would like to ask how the division is made, excluding the remote areas here? Furthermore, the main purpose of sulfur-based acid production plants is to concentrate dilute sulfuric acid, such as 85% strength, to 98% strength; is this within the scope of industrial policy regulations?
You can consult the local Development and Reform Commission as well as the Economic and Trade Commission; they are well-versed in industrial policies, and it is they who are responsible for approving projects. Sometimes, industrial policies change in character when they reach the local approval stage.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has the final say, so it’s better to ask them directly!
