The chemical engineering plastics industry chain of Haili – namely the nylon 66 industry chain – is advancing at a rapid pace. The adiponitrile project, for which 2 billion yuan has been invested in related supporting facilities, is currently in the pilot stage, with efforts being made to overcome technical challenges as soon as possible. May I ask about the progress of the pilot production of Halihexanedinitrile?
It is said it’s coming soon… but not as fast as Runxing’s; their facility has already been verified to be in operation with a capacity of 1,000 tons, and they plan to build one with a capacity of 300,000 tons
What is the Haili process? Is it also an acrylonitrile electrolysis process?
It’s not very clear; I guess it might be the adipic acid route. http://www.huantai.gov.cn/ht/industry/2010/201011384231.html It is mentioned here that Haili belongs to the Bohui Group
quote]“Compared to other companies, we have a clear advantage in developing the engineering plastics industry chain. ”A responsible official from Haili Chemical told reporters that currently, the company is able to produce products such as adipic acid, caprolactam, hydrogen, nitric acid, and refined benzene, which helps reduce the procurement costs and construction costs of the raw materials required in the industrial chain. If hexanedioic acid in the nylon 66 supply chain can be fully self-sufficient, the production cost of nylon 66 can be reduced by 2,000 yuan per ton, thereby **increasing the profitability of the supply chain** ; Caprolactam enjoys market pricing power and clear competitive advantages ; At the same time, benzene, an important raw material required for this industrial chain, can be purchased locally, resulting in low transportation costs. In particular, with the implementation of the company’s key project under the 12th Five-Year Plan, which involves the production of 200,000 tons of adiponitrile, the advantages of the nylon 6 and nylon 66 industry chains will become even more evident. This is news about Hai Li
That’s just to deceive analysts and stock investors – how can his adipic acid be 2,000 yuan/ton cheaper than that of others? Why does caprolactam have the power to set prices?
The cyclohexene-based method for producing adipic acid is estimated to be a bit cheaper than the cyclohexane-based method, but claiming a reduction of 2,000 yuan is a bit excessive; around 500 yuan less would be more reasonable
They’re all talented; their analyses are extremely thorough. I give them full marks. I can’t do analysis – I can only assign scores. Classmate Houzhiyang gets a full score, hehehe. That’s all I have to say. :)
500 is indeed a bit low. It should be between 800-1000 tons
The Haili process route is the direct hydrogenation method for butadiene. Its technology is the same as that of Unisplendour, both originating from Tsinghua University. Back then, Tsinghua conducted some preliminary tests on something. One of Haili’s technical staff members is an employee from Shenma Group who has participated in the pilot tests. The process package was developed in collaboration with Tianchen Company.
There are rumors that the Haili process also uses the butadiene method; Haili funded the development efforts at Shandong University, and the laboratory tests were successful, but difficulties arose when trying to scale up the process.
