Due to increased production load and insufficient filter capacity, under normal conditions the brine filter needs to be replaced every 6–7 hours. Recently, the saltwater filter has reverted to its original design timing, requiring a change after 72 hours of operation. Could everyone please help analyze this? Apart from the parameters related to raw salt and process control, are there any other possible reasons? (The quality of raw salt and its control remain unchanged from before) # + + . hcbbs
The increased filter cleaning time indicates that the quality of the brine used is good. The SS control is relatively low. When the parameters of crude salt remain stable, the only option is to strengthen process control in the brine production stage. 1. First, regarding the control of excess alkali, in addition to keeping the level of excess alkali within the specified range and avoiding too high values, it should be kept at the lower limit; this requires increasing the frequency of refinement analysis. 2. Additionally, both flow control and temperature control need to be stable to prevent backmixing in the settler caused by instability (this can be observed from the transparency indicator). 3. It is necessary to check the pH range of the saltwater as well as the free chlorine level. Because the pH level and the concentration of chloride ions also affect the precipitation of impurities. 4. Regularly intensify the backwashing of sand filters; in addition to automatic backwashing, forced backwashing should be carried out through necessary manual intervention. Isn’t this analysis unclear and inaccurate? And what exactly is SS? The general definition is solid suspended matter, and this solid suspended matter refers to the impurities carried within the brine itself – does it include small particles of calcium and magnesium precipitates as well?
What determines the reversal? ? If it’s due to pressure difference, it’s likely that your filter elements are no longer effective – their precision has decreased, which results in less scale formation; as a result, the pressure difference remains high for a longer period of time. This filter should need to be replaced.
Is the filter automatically cleaned based on pressure difference?
