On a late winter afternoon, I went to visit a friend who had been married for less than a year before getting divorced in a hurry. Sitting on the soft sofa, while my friend prepared tea, I took a close look at the home that her ex-husband had left her: elegant chandeliers, spacious and bright floor-to-ceiling windows; it wasn’t luxurious, but it was certainly cozy. I suddenly asked, “Why the divorce?” ”“He’s not romantic enough.” “Is that all? ”The friend nodded. I chatted until late at night, then bid farewell to my friend. Downstairs, we waved goodbye. Strangely, in my friend’s sad eyes, I didn’t see that sense of relief and ease that comes from breaking free from a difficult situation, which made my heart ache. Late at night, the city’s streets appear rather deserted. There are fewer pedestrians on the sidewalks, and vehicles on the roads are no longer lined up one after another; more importantly, there are no more traffic jams. The neon lights in the distance blinked, intentionally or unintentionally. The lights in the residential building gave off a particularly warm atmosphere; everything around seemed to become so harmonious and peaceful under the influence of the night. At this moment, I can’t help but wonder if life is like a long road? We don’t know where that path leads, but most importantly, we must take extreme caution as we take the next step. Therefore, we look around as if crossing the road, in a state of extreme tension, just like all the vehicles passing by in a hurry. The crossroad ahead on the road is like a comma in life; a brief pause does not mean stopping moving forward. However, when the hustle and bustle of the day finally comes to an end, night has arrived unnoticed. At this point, we instinctively look back at the path we have taken during the day and realize that many of the choices were merely impulsive decisions made on a whim. Thus, as we try to start over with exhausted bodies and minds, the passing time has already turned everything into yesterday. Perhaps, the value of life lies in the fact that time never returns. That is precisely why we should value things even more. Cherish every moment of life, and cherish those who love us and those we love. Even if our love is expressed through rather ordinary acts of care and concern, why not use these small moments of tenderness to warm up our entire lives? At night, it is the silence that makes it seem more real. Love, because it is ordinary, can endure over time. And cherishing is the best guarantee for all of this. I feel pretty good about it; I’ll hold things together for now, hehe;P
Time never returns; cherish the present.
Your friend is still naive and immature; can romance serve as food? :dizzy:
Think carefully before getting married; it’s only after marriage that you realize you have incompatible personalities. . This. . I hope that all lovers in the world will eventually be together
The wishes are beautiful, but it’s actually very difficult to make them come true
