Help with graduation project: Process flow for alkyl sulfonate (LAS)

Design topic: Process design for a 20,000 tons/year plant producing 60% alkylbenzene sulfonate – process design for sulfonation, neutralization, and exhaust gas treatment. It’s not that I’m lazy; I really don’t know how to do this. My supervisor didn’t provide even a basic material flow diagram, so I have no idea where to start. For example, I don’t know how to draw diagrams of equipment such as sulfonators, or where instruments should be installed! I need PID and PFD diagrams; I hope those with more experience can help

Use the school library (its collections and databases) to find relevant materials; the drawing methods for related equipment can be referred to in HG/T 20519-2009. It is recommended to study textbooks on chemical engineering design carefully before drawing PID diagrams.

It’s definitely included in the technology of synthetic detergents. The more advanced process equipment comes mainly from the American company Chemithon, as well as from the Italian companies Ballestra and MM... My first job was involved in the sulfonation of dodecylbenzene. A 30,000-ton Chemithon plant... The main processes include air drying, liquid sulfur transportation, SO2/SO3 conversion, (falling film) sulfonation reaction, neutralization reaction, electrostatic mist eliminators and alkali absorption towers for exhaust gases, as well as an acid absorption system required during startup. Does your graduation project only require the design of a control system? Sulfonic acid is purchased externally. Otherwise, there are too many designs.
