I encountered an unexplainable phenomenon: in the distillation column for gasoline components, the greater the reflux rate, the higher the column pressure. Is this the opposite of what should happen, or is it similar to the cold reflux in catalytic processes? Expert guidance
The reason for the oil and gas partial pressures is that the cold reflux belongs to gasoline
The greater the reflux at the top of the tower, the higher the tower pressure; a large amount of reflux in the middle section results in lower tower pressure.
This should be the normal phenomenon: the greater the gasoline reflux, the higher the vapor pressure of gasoline, and thus the tower pressure increases; appropriate adjustments need to be made based on production conditions
I also agree with the view from above: as the backflow at the tower top increases, the vapor pressure of oil and gas rises, which in turn increases the load on the tower top and leads to a rise in pressure. The mid-section reflux increases, preventing the light components from rising and thus reducing the pressure at the top of the tower.
