I agree with the moderator’s opinion. I’ve also heard of portable ultrasonic flowmeters, but their accuracy seems to be quite low. If such a flowmeter is really important, it is recommended that the original poster purchase a mass flowmeter, which requires little maintenance; even in industrial applications, one can’t expect such flowmeters to be inaccurate! (In very rare cases, it may give incorrect results.) It’s also possible to analyze things like the material balance in the process, which can help determine roughly whether there is a problem with the flow meter!
Portable ones have ultrasound. However, ultrasonic flowmeters also have their limits of application; it seems they cannot be used for measuring gas phases. It can analyze water substances (river water, seawater, agricultural water, etc.), oils (pure fuel, lubricants, edible oils, etc.), chemical reagents, medicinal solutions, etc., water with high impurity levels (sewage, wastewater, agricultural water, etc.), slurries (sludge, mineral slurry, paper pulp and chemical slurries, etc.), and oils (non-pure fuel, heavy oil, crude oil, etc.)
Haiyou, I don’t know what type of flow meter you are referring to? If it’s a orifice plate, it’s relatively easy; but if it’s of the mass, vortex street, or electromagnetic type, it’s more difficult.
