I spent three days using SolidWorks, and finally completed the assembly!
JPG isn’t very useful; use digital images instead
It feels good! There are a few issues I’d like to discuss: 1. Are the economizer tube banks supported by crossbeams? If possible, it can also be hung from the top to keep the tube panel vertical. 2. The pipes are arranged in a staggered pattern, right? May I ask what the smoke flow rate is for the original poster? It seems that the wind resistance would be higher in this situation; is it better to arrange them in a row? What was your reasoning, OP? 3. What is the ash concentration of the flue gas? 4. What type of fins does the poster usually use?
This is a drawing given to me by someone else, and I’ll turn it into a 3D model! As for those questions you mentioned, I really don’t know!

Is there something wrong with your system? Or maybe my internet is too slow and the packets get lost; then I send them to you, but it’s so slow for you to upload them!
Hehe, it does feel pretty good to view in 3D. OP, are your clamps welded to the fins? Ours are generally hook-and-suspension type. The fin pattern is also different; it’s quite dense, and SolidWorks crashes after just a few screens of drawing it.
I guess your drawing method is incorrect! Send me the drawings and I’ll help you draw them!
This post was last edited by hjc404 on 2012-4-18 08:34. Pipe clamps are those that are welded to the pipes! Note that there is no flat steel where the pipe clamps are located; in order to simplify things when creating 3D models, it isn’t drawn in as much detail
OP, I really don’t understand this. It seems to me that if the tubes of the economizer are inserted into the shell, the end of the U-tube should become short-circuited; is some kind of barrier needed?
A economizer is a device used in boilers; what is it for, being placed inside a shell and tube?
