A device is installed on the pipeline before it reaches the heat exchanger, and sound wave resonance is used to prevent scaling. What are your thoughts on this technology? Is it useful now?
There are currently some applications in factories; according to the manufacturers, they can be found at Yanhua, Tianjin Petrochemical, Jihua, and other places.
Do you know what the effect of what they’re using now is?
From May 24, 2010, when 15 heat exchange units began to use CMFG’s ultrasonic scale prevention and removal technology, until May 31, 2011 (one year later), this technology enabled the entire installation to produce an additional 10,533.6 tons of steam, save approximately 1.81 million tons of circulating water, and save around 368.3 tons of standard oil – worth approximately 3.298 million yuan in terms of monetary value.
It seems that all the units under CNPC are promoting this; our company is said to have spent 50 million on it
