I work for a foreign trade company in Qingdao, and I’m currently in charge of purchasing molecular sieves for domestic use. Today, a manufacturer came to visit us, recommending a desiccant for use in insulating glass; it’s made from attapulgite clay and is said to be a substitute for 3A molecular sieves used in such applications. I have compared the technical specifications of the two products and found that they are quite similar. Moreover, this desiccant is very inexpensive. I would like to ask those with more experience: what do you think of this product? Can it replace the molecular sieve in 3A hollow glass?
