When putting into use, start with cooling and then heating; when shutting down, start with heating and then cooling

Commissioning: First, release the air, then open the inlet valve for the cold medium to fill the heat exchanger with fluid; once it is fully filled or to a certain extent, open the outlet valve ; Gradually introduce the hot medium (more precisely, first introduce the medium whose temperature is closer to that of the surrounding environment), in order to prevent sudden influx of excessively cold or hot medium, which could cause rapid cooling or heating of the heat exchanger ; 4. After putting it into operation, check whether the readings of all instruments are normal, whether there is any leakage at the head flanges, and whether the casing is deformed or vibrating. The above are the general steps for putting a heat exchanger into use; for heat exchangers of different applications and models, there are more specific regulations and procedures. Pay attention to the changes in temperature and pressure; the increase in temperature and pressure should not be too rapid to avoid leaks, with the temperature rising at a rate of less than 50°C/h. 4 Once the cold flow is operating normally, introduce the hot flow using the same method. Note: When one side is in use, the other side should be kept at vacuum or connected to the system, to prevent damage to the equipment due to pressure buildup resulting from expansion during heating. Open the inlet valve slightly, then open the outlet valve slightly as well, to ensure there is no excess flow and no leaks in the other circuit. Once that is confirmed, open both the inlet and outlet valves fully. Then slowly close the bypass valve; once flow is confirmed to be unobstructed, close the bypass valve completely. Next, close the vent valve in the other circuit as well. Open the inlet and outlet valves slightly again to check for any excess flow, then open them fully. After confirming smooth flow, close the bypass valve.

The general principle for putting a heat exchanger into use is to start with the cold side before moving on to the hot side: first open the inlet for cold material, allow venting to occur for a while, then close it, and after that open the outlet for cold material. Use the same method to feed the hot material. After pouring, fully open the hot material inlet and outlet, and control the opening degree of the cold material valve based on the temperature.
