A gentle question: for example, when designing a chemical plant, what is the expected lifespan of that design? Which document should be referred to for execution?

Regarding containers, the relevant service life is generally 20 years; for buildings, it is usually 50 years; for pipes, it is typically 20 to 30 years. As for certain equipment, it depends on the requirements, with a general service life of 10 years
Typically, factories last around 20 years or so. This is a general figure; it’s more useful for economic calculations. The lifespans of the movable and fixed equipment in a factory, as well as the buildings themselves, certainly vary.

Pressure vessels are required to last 20 years according to relevant regulations, but what about other structures, such as buildings (office buildings within factories, control rooms, canteens, dormitories, etc.) and process equipment? What is their designed service life? Are there any standard specifications?

I think there are reference materials in the relevant sections of the new version of HG20580-2011, Part 6 on chemicals. Please take a look!
HG20580-2011 only specifies the design service life for steel containers, but what are the regulations regarding the design service life of entire chemical plants and buildings? Are there any standards or specifications for this?
