Gaps can cause the steel lining to loosen, and once it loosens, grout leakage will occur. If left untreated, over time this looseness not only leads to a deterioration of the environment but also causes the holes in the steel lining to enlarge, potentially resulting in their detachment.
It can be welded shut, or a rubber lining can be added (this can reduce damage to the cylinder, minimize grout leakage, and prevent issues such as stuck rods, misaligned rods, or broken rods)
