Having worked in the turbine field for so long, which turbine manufacturers do you think offer better performance? Is the technology more mature? What are the gaps between domestic turbines and those produced by internationally renowned turbine manufacturers?
I’m not sure which one is better; I’ve only used Hangqi turbines, and oil leakage is a problem. The technical support is inadequate, although the technical service staff are quite competent.
Zhejiang Jialite, a joint venture with the American company Elliott, is capable of producing turbines with a capacity of up to 7.5 megawatts, and its quality is quite good.
The leakage of the turbine quick-shut valve in Hangqi’s engines is a problem; the quality of construction is rather poor. The Elliott has a simple structure, but it performs well and doesn’t experience many problems. Has anyone used Siemens turbines?
As for those that have been used, there are Hangqi, Jinhua Machinery, and Kawasaki from the little devils. If you’re talking about advanced technology, take for example the comparison between Huawei’s quad-core phones and Apple’s IP4s – what’s the difference? You know! Oil leakage, processing progress...... In fact, materials and processing are the fundamental aspects; there’s no comparison possible when it comes to the basics

Siemens turbines are used in the compression units of large air distribution systems.
Turbine technology is already very mature; in China, turbines generally use foreign rotors, while the supporting equipment is often of domestic manufacture and cannot keep up, which leads to serious oil leakage, as mentioned earlier ! I’ve seen ones from abroad as well; they’re pretty good, quite clean – Siemens, Samsung, etc. . . The service there is good too; if money isn’t a concern, it’s best to use foreign ones!
