Scaling of the valve seat in carbon dioxide compressors

I’m a novice apprentice worker. In my factory, there are two reciprocating 4-stage carbon dioxide compressors, one in operation and one as a backup. The valve seats at stages 3 and 4 of these compressors are always covered with scale, which makes maintenance difficult. I’m looking for solutions to this problem. Additionally, there is a serious issue of water contamination in the compressors. I have checked the heat exchangers and found no leaks; however, water contamination is still severe at stages 3 and 4. The compressor at stage 3 experiences overpressure frequently – overpressure occurs every 2 to 3 days – which requires frequent replacement of the valve seats. I hope someone experienced can offer some advice. Thank you
Our carbon dioxide compressors have the same problem. We plan to add a buffer dehydrating tank at the third-level inlet, but this has not been implemented yet. I hope we can communicate more.
