I would like to ask everyone: what is superfractionation? What does it mean, in terms of grammatical annotation? Does it refer to distillation with a large number of plates and a high reflux ratio?
When the relative volatility of the separated component A and component B is low, and high quality requirements are imposed on the product, it falls under the category of ultra-distillation. Ultra-distillation is characterized by a large number of tray levels, high reflux, and stringent requirements for operational control.
So generally speaking, how many trays and what reflux ratio are required to consider it as ultra-distillation?
The separation of carbon-13 seems to involve super distillation, with 3,000 theoretical plates
Is it considered superdistillation to require over 100 trays for the separation of propane and propylene?
