Why can’t the axial-flow main fan operate at speeds lower than its rated speed?

According to the manual, operation below the rated speed as well as operation at excessive speeds is prohibited. The issue of excessive speeds is easy to understand, but why is it strictly forbidden to operate below the rated speed?
Is there a risk of reverse rotation at speeds below the rated speed? I think this is something that should be considered for this exact reason
It’s not the risk of a comeback. Generally, centrifugal compressors and axial flow compressors are both speed-type units. The reduction or increase in rotational speed is related to its efficiency, torque, and power.
I’m not good at this either; it’s probably because the machine is operating below its rated speed. On one hand, it’s difficult to maintain the outlet pressure, which can lead to backflow or surge, and on the other hand, there are issues related to power and torque. I’ll wait for professional colleagues to provide a more reasonable explanation.

At low speeds, the compression ratio decreases. Both the outlet pressure and flow rate are designed at the rated speed; otherwise, it will alter the performance of the unit, affect its stability, and impact the unit’s safety.
