Can a horizontal spiral centrifuge be used for the separation of ammonium chloride? In my case, the particle size of ammonium chloride is around 0.2 mm, the temperature is 40 degrees Celsius, the solid content in the feed is about 30%, and the production rate is 4 tons per hour. Thank you all for your advice.
I haven’t seen it being used; generally, three-legged centrifuges are used, or piston-driven feeding with scrapers for unloading. Shijiazhuang Yingzhijie Fruit Workers: 13603399224
It can be used, but your production volume is a bit low.
So, can the moisture content at the outlet of the piston pusher centrifuge be kept below 3%? This moisture content is very important for us.
I agree with the views of those above; based on the data obtained from our experiments, a piston-driven centrifuge is more suitable.
It can be used; a horizontal spiral centrifuge or a two-stage piston-fed centrifuge could be considered.
If the moisture content can be maintained at 3%, you can reduce the number of push cycles to allow more time for the material to separate; centrifuges with dual-piston pushing systems achieve an even lower moisture content. Please contact me at 13055143513
Horizontal spiral centrifuges can be used; feel free to contact me if you need them at 13915470592
Ammonium chloride is highly corrosive; I’m afraid even 316L won’t be able to withstand it. It can be made in powder-coated or all-titanium versions; Shanghai Chemical Machinery Factory is capable of producing GK series bedroom scraper centrifuges.
We also use a spiral screen centrifuge (LWL630) to separate ammonium chloride, and the moisture content measured is generally above 3%; at least none of the data I’ve seen are below 3%. I’m not sure how those who work upstairs manage to achieve such results Is it to turn down the rinse water or even turn it off? Although the solid material coming out does seem a bit drier, it won’t last long; the sieve gets clogged with impurities very quickly……
A two-stage piston push centrifuge is used to separate ammonium chloride in Hubei Shuanghuan. The output of HR630 is 15 T/H, with a moisture content of less than 3%; the output of purified ammonium chloride after separation is 12–13 T/H, with a moisture content of around 4%.
