I’ve heard it’s possible, but the number of times seems limited
It seems that our plant has basically stopped using waste oxygenated aluminum… Currently, magnesium oxide regenerants are being used in the white clay beds for post-treatment.
Oh, I see. Whether this can be reused or not depends on the condition of the alumina – if it’s in good condition and of high quality, then it can be used. But if there’s a lot of powder present or if it’s in a grayish state, then it can’t be used. These days, hydrogen peroxide isn’t a valuable product; it’s difficult to make money from it!
What do they do with the recycled waste alumina? Here, waste alumina costs only a few hundred yuan per ton, and it’s never been recycled. It would be great if it could be reused like a catalyst, to avoid all the hassle. It says magnesium oxide regeneration on the third floor – is the renovation complicated?
It can be reused, but those regenerated with steam will only last a few days; high-temperature regeneration is an option though it’s quite complicated. I can provide you with the relevant information if you need it
Our process for regenerating the white clay bed includes pipes for circulating working fluid, as well as pipes for introducing steam, nitrogen, and solvents. Please explain the principle behind the use of steam; I’m not sure what its purpose is

Steam is mainly used during the loading and unloading of alumina... Although fans are used to blow away dust during loading, steam is still needed to clean everything after loading... When unloading alumina, steam is required to blow out the working fluid first...
Mm-hmm... The market for industrial-grade low-concentration hydrogen peroxide is really competitive these days... So where’s the way out? High-purity, high-concentration food-grade or electronic-grade versions?
Well... the oxygen-alumina used for purchase costs only a few hundred bucks... it basically can’t be regenerated after use... As for catalysts, they come at that price point... and moreover, catalysts can be reused. In fact, of the two systems in that company, only one of those with clay beds uses magnesium oxide as a regenerating agent.
