I have the following questions: 1) The main task of plant process engineers is to address practical technical issues, while most of these problems are related to design and calculation, which are not relevant to us. How can we find examples of plant simulations and related problems? 2) How to simulate existing devices? Is there a general procedure? 3) If simulating a tower, should all stream data be entered (including components), or can there be default streams? Is it necessary to enter the heat input to the reboiler and the heat removed by the condenser? Do the equipment parameters of the tower need to be entered? Such as tower diameter, tray spacing, tray type, and size? A generous reward will surely be given! !
I would like to share my own opinion. 1) Aspen is not just about design; optimization is also very important, especially for factories. Aspen Dynamics allows for dynamic simulation, and having data on factory processes is crucial for correcting models and simulating current conditions. 2) To simulate existing devices, as I understand it, one first needs to establish a PFD simulation of the process flow, then add control points to create a PID control system, and finally carry out optimized configuration. 3) For a simulation tower, the composition, temperature, pressure, and flow rate of the feed are necessary; what about the default stream? I don’t quite understand this. Other conditions depend on the type of tower you are simulating; generally, a design specification is required for each heat load. The equipment parameters of the tower can be ignored during the preliminary design stage
