Introduction of free water 5. Poor filtration of the raw materials and blockage by foreign substances 6. Prolonged storage of raw materials leads to the formation of gums and polymers
It must be the raw materials that cause this issue; the situation on the 4th floor is more severe – basically, every certain period of time, the top layer of material needs to be removed from the first reactor
The differential pressure in the pre-hydrogenation reactor at our facility is rising rapidly; it’s probably due to an issue with the raw materials. Later, by drawing on information from other units, a protector was added before the pre-hydrogenation reactor. There are shut-off valves before and after the protector, as well as a bypass line. The protector is filled with a large amount of protective agent, supported by ceramic balls, along with a small amount of catalyst. Under normal circumstances, the raw material flows through the protector after heat exchange; if the protector gets clogged, it can be cleaned directly, and at that point the raw material oil will flow via a bypass line into the reactor.
