I’ve just started reading books on valves, and I find it very confusing. Learn the basic knowledge of valves online. I’ve looked at the basic codes, but I found that some codes are not listed in the valve factory’s catalog. For example, in ZSQ341H, I don’t understand what the ‘ZS’ stands for. How can I find out information about such codes? Mainly, I need to go and take a look at a coking plant energy-saving renovation project soon. I’d like everyone’s advice: what kind of valves will be used in their projects, what questions might arise, and what are the key points to keep in mind from a knowledge perspective. I’ve basically downloaded all the knowledge related to valves from forums. I also watched it; I know a bit of the basics though. But I feel like what I’m reading lacks purpose; it’s too confusing.
Personally, I think many of these additional parts at the beginning are names assigned by the manufacturers for their own convenience.
It’s just a valve code~ These codes represent information such as the type of valve, the material used for the valve, the pressure rating, the connection style, and the driving mechanism. There are national standards for valves that provide guidelines on how to code valve numbers, but I don’t bother looking at those things; they just annoy me! I’m not sure I want to buy it that way either! Generally, those of us who work on material design assign valve numbers according to the numbering rules set by our own institution, and then prepare a detailed specification sheet for the valves in order to obtain quotes! This way, I’ll have peace of mind
