Our factory produces wet phosphoric acid; after the concentration process, dilute phosphoric acid is turned into concentrated phosphoric acid with a concentration of around 47%. After the concentrated phosphoric acid is clarified, acid sludge must be removed. This acid sludge has a solid content of approximately 35% and a very high viscosity. At present, we are using pumps of the PLC65/350 type, with a flow rate of 50 m³, a head of 40 m, and a motor power of 30 Kw. The problems we are facing are high solid content, high motor temperature, a short service life for the pumps, and significant vibration.
