As stated in the title, there is a pipeline section approximately 2500 meters long, consisting of two lines: one for steam with a diameter of DN100, and another for crude oil with a diameter of DN300. The steam pressure is 1.0 Mp and the temperature is 200°C; the crude oil temperature is 80°C and the pressure is 1.8 MP. How should the expansion elbow of the π type be designed? Currently, the vertical section is 2 meters long and the horizontal section is 3 meters long. Only the steam line is supplied with steam at present, resulting in severe π-shaped deformation of the expansion bends; they bend upward by up to 500 mm, and some of the pipelines deviate significantly from their supports. It is currently believed that the amount of expansion taken into account is too low; there is concern that steam injection (purging) in pipelines with a diameter of 300 will cause even greater expansion. Please suggest some solutions to address this issue. (At present, it is considered to use expansion joints for absorption, while keeping the existing expansion bends unchanged.)
