Is the professional examination for registered chemical engineers open-book or closed-book?

Have any of you taken the professional examination for the registered chemical engineer qualification? Is it an open-book or closed-book exam? I took a basic exam, which was a closed-book test. I heard that the professional exam is open-book, but with some restrictions on materials. Does anyone know? Are the professional exams open-book? If so, what information is restricted? Thank you.
When bringing books in, anything except printed, copied, or handwritten materials is allowed!
When opening the book, materials from reputable publishers can be used, but printed materials can also be used if supervision is not strict.
Actually, I’m thinking that since you’ve written down many notes in your book, and even included printed or copied materials, the invigilator probably won’t throw away your book, right? Strangely enough, there is no mention anywhere in the exam-related materials such as the exam guidelines that it is an open-book exam. . . It’s strange. . .
