Hot water is used for circulation within the system (such as in the jacket of the reactor or for rising film processes). How should the size of the hot water tank be calculated? Should I just take a photo based on the size of the equipment on site?
Calculate the volume inside the pipes and jackets, then scale it up by a certain factor depending on the circumstances
Could this ‘ certain multiple’ be specified more precisely? I just need this
In fact, it is sufficient to ensure that hot water can circulate; a certain margin should be left, and hot water losses under various conditions need to be taken into account, with regular replenishment of water required

Determine the hot water outlet temperature based on the minimum heat transfer temperature difference (usually 5~10°C) ; 3. Determine the hot water inlet temperature (generally not higher than 95°C); the water flow rate is calculated based on the heat transfer amount and the temperature difference between the hot water inlet and outlet ; 4. The volume of the water tank should be sufficient to ensure a retention time of about 5 minutes, as this provides a buffer period to ensure the proper operation of the water circulation pump. Thus, the volume of the hot water tank can be determined.

It depends on how much water your reactor needs to hold, as well as how much water can be stored in the pipes. There should also be a certain amount of reserve in the water tank – that should be sufficient
All designs are based on evidence; they’re not just made up, unless you have extremely extensive experience.
