What is the backwashing function behind the trap valve, and how is it used?
Isn’t the backflow after the steam trap used to drain the liquid from the steam trap? I have always believed that the venting at the front is used to discharge non-condensable gases.
That is a check valve. Are there also font size restrictions?
A steam trap is used to prevent steam from entering the drainage system; the pipeline connected to the back of the steam trap is used to carry water to where it belongs. Backflow prevention is necessary either to avoid freezing or to check whether the steam trap truly functions as a steam barrier. If it is suspected that a steam trap is not preventing steam from passing through during production, the drain valve should be opened to see if steam emerges.
For inspection; it’s mainly to identify the problems that have arisen. When the water quality is poor, it cannot be discharged into the collection equipment; it can be used for diversion purposes
The drain pipe, also known as an inspection pipe, is used to check whether the steam trap is functioning properly. By opening the valve of the drain pipe and observing the drainage situation, it can be determined whether the water contains little or no vapor – in which case it is considered acceptable.
