Sinopec’s coal-to-gas seminar was held in Ningbo

According to Sinopec News Network (He Yanfeng, Lei Yongjie, Cao Hongying), the Sinopec Coal-to-Gas Symposium, organized by Sinopec’s Chemicals Division and hosted by **, was held in Ningbo on March 20 and 21. A total of 73 people from units including the Chemical Engineering Division, the Technology Development Department, the Gasification Technology Center, three water-coal slurry gas production companies (Qilu, Jinling, Nanhua), three coal powder gas production companies, coal-to-gas enterprises that are under construction or in the planning stage (Maoming, Zhongtian Hechuang, Yangzi Petrochemical, Zhongan Coal Chemical, Chuanwei, Zhongyuan Petrochemical), and ** attended the special meeting. A total of 24 papers were included in this conference and published in a collection. Guided by the spirit of the headquarters’ 2011 work conference on the chemical industry sector, the thematic meeting aimed to summarize and share experiences in areas such as the operation of coal-to-gas plants, technological advancements, and maintenance management; to discuss related issues; and to outline the key tasks for the next phase. The thematic session was divided into three parts: thematic presentations, exchange speeches, and discussions, featuring rich and detailed content with strong relevance and practicality. **At the symposium, four special reports were presented: “Current Status and Development of Coal Gasification Technology in Sinopec”, “Calibration Report of Sinopec’s Coal-to-Gas Plants”, “Research and Analysis Report on Typical Water-Coal Slurry Gasification Plants”, and “Research and Analysis Report on Typical Powder Coal Gasification Plants”. These reports effectively demonstrated the company’s technical expertise in the fields of coal gasification and coal-to-gas production, and were highly praised by the attendees.
