Filial piety is priceless – Bi Shumin. I don’t like stories about children who study through hardship. His family was in great difficulty; his father had passed away, and his younger siblings needed to be fed. Yet after graduating from university, he still decided to pursue graduate studies, forcing his mother to sell blood… I thought he was a selfish student. The path of learning is long; it’s a lifelong endeavor – why worry too much about a few wasted years? Moreover, every moment of this time is extremely bitter, and it must be irrigated with the mother’s blood! If someone can’t even love their own mother, who else can we expect him to love? How can those who place their own interests above all else become masters dedicated to humanity? I also don’t like children who leave their seriously ill parents behind, no matter how many reasons they may have. To cut off a dying old person’s last hopes for the world and send them away into loneliness with a heart filled with despair is a great disrespect toward life. 　　I believe that every sincere and honest child has, deep in their heart, made a vow to be filial to their parents. They believe that there is time enough in the future, that everything will work out as it should, and that one day they will achieve success and fame and be able to return home to show their filial devotion in peace. 　　It’s a pity that people have forgotten, forgotten the cruelty of time, forgotten the brevity of life, forgotten that there are kindnesses in this world that can never be repaid, and forgotten how fragile life itself is. 　　Our parents have gone, carrying deep concerns for us. Our parents are gone, leaving us with a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid. You will then never be able to show filial piety. 　　There are things that we cannot understand when we are young. By the time we understand, we are no longer young. There are things in this world that can be made up for, and there are things that can never be made up for. 　““Filial piety” is a fleeting affection; “filial piety” is a happiness that can never be regained. ““Filial piety” is a past mistake that brings eternal regret; it is the chain that connects lives, and once it breaks, there can be no more connection. 　　Hurry up and show some filial piety to your parents. It might be a mansion, or it might just be some bricks and tiles. Perhaps it is a wild goose from across the ocean, or perhaps it is a message right at hand. Perhaps it’s a pure black doctoral hat, or perhaps a red five-point mark in a notebook. It might be a table full of delicacies, or it might be a wild fruit or a small flower. Perhaps it’s a splendidly decorated robe, or perhaps a pair of clean old shoes. It may be tens of thousands of dollars, or perhaps just a coin still warm to the touch… but on the scale of filial piety, they are of equal value. 　　But, children of the world, you must hurry! While your parents are still alive.
