Due to unstable steam supply, our system tends to experience frequent changes in the temperature at the bottom of the absorption tower. Adjusting this bottom temperature leads to an increase in pressure at the top of the tower; in such cases, it is necessary to put the excess dry gas into the fuel gas buffer tank located before the heater. However, this causes the heater to emit black smoke. I was wondering if there is any solution to this problem For example, adding a liquid removal tank in front of the fuel gas buffer tank – could such a solution address this issue? Thank you!
I’m not sure if the dry gas coming out of your absorption towers passes through a dry gas liquid separation tank or something similar before reaching the fuel gas buffer tank. If not, it would be bad to allow large amounts of gasoline to reach the fuel gas buffer tank; even worse, it could lead to gasoline getting into the furnace, which is extremely dangerous.
