1 Liquid SO2 by sodium citrate method: SO2 is drawn out from in front of the converter; after cooling, it is absorbed using a sodium citrate solution. Subsequently, it is heated to desorb high-concentration SO2, dried with H2SO4, and then compressed to produce liquid SO2. 2 The liquid SO2 produced by the sodium citrate method, when operated efficiently, has a lower cost compared to that of liquid SO2 produced by the pure oxygen method.
