A project requires that the PLC cabinets be placed in the explosion-proof area on site; there are two such cabinets. Should I choose a fully sealed explosion-proof design or one with positive pressure ventilation for explosion protection? These are the only two options I know of. If it’s a fully sealed design, how can heat dissipation take place inside the cabinet? Could the experts please advise me on what to do? It would also be great if you could recommend some suitable cabinet manufacturers.
Build a house similar to an analysis cabin, with positive pressure ventilation and explosion-proof air conditioning inside. The key is the explosion-proof certification for the cabin; find a qualified manufacturer to handle it.

In a case like the owner’s, it depends on the power level of the PLC system; if it is quite low, then an explosion-proof enclosure can be used. However, it is best to use a positive pressure ventilation type. Currently, in China, apart from Huarong, there are also several companies that do a good job in manufacturing positive-pressure cabinets. I have previously designed PLC control systems, and many of the expansion racks required positive pressure ventilation, so I am familiar with this.

PLCs can be of the wide-temperature type and do not require cooling. The specific temperature depends on the parameters set by the PLC manufacturer; I know that Siemens 200 PLCs are available in such wide temperature ranges
