Selection criteria for steam pipes

Our company’s steam parameters are 0.8 MPa and a temperature of 280 degrees. Should the standard for delivery pipelines be GB8163 or GB3087? What is the scope of application for each of these standards? Thank you
If it is for transporting steam, it is better to use GB3087. Steel grade 20 under the two standards is actually identical in terms of both chemical composition and mechanical properties. The surface quality requirements for GB3087 are higher than those for GB8163. GB3087 refers to seamless tubes for medium and low-pressure boilers, while GB8163 refers to seamless tubes for transporting fluids. Therefore, for conveying superheated steam at 280 degrees, GB3087 is a more suitable choice. If there were no GB3087 standard, I think using GB8163 20# in your application conditions would be completely fine as well. Hehe
