Sure, we use fiberglass. But attention should be paid to the internal corrosion condition.

Our tower was originally lined with steel; now, due to corrosion caused by damage to the PE layer, we want to build a new one. Would fiberglass be a good choice?

China’s fiberglass products have their own particular features. The so-called lining resin and structural resin are, in fact, the same type of anti-corrosion resin used abroad for reverse nozzles; therefore, as long as the choice of resin and the structural design are correct, there will be no problems with their use. Of course, special cases need to be excluded; for example, it’s definitely not possible to expose fiberglass-reinforced plastic to high temperatures for long periods of time, as organic fiberglass-reinforced plastic can only withstand temperatures around 150°C, while the temperature at the inlet of the power wave exceeds 300°C.
For ordinary reverse nozzles, fiberglass-reinforced graphite bricks are sufficient; if funding permits, Hastelloy can be used.
Our reverse nozzles are made of fiberglass reinforced with carbon bricks, while the nozzles themselves are made of polypropylene and have been in use for over a year. . . . . .
