The heating level specified in the design of a coke oven is determined based on the shrinkage characteristics of the coal mixture; empirical formulas can be used as a reference, but such formulas are no longer sufficient to meet the requirements of modern coke oven design! The temperature in the coke oven roof space indeed has a significant impact on the yield of chemical products. Moreover, if the heating level is not properly designed, it can lead to excessively high temperatures in that space, causing graphite formation on the roof and disrupting normal production operations!
