Do all control valves require a handwheel? Under what circumstances is a handwheel necessary?
Generally, the control valve installed for the bypass line does not come with a handwheel； For applications prone to freezing or clogging after shutdown, a control valve with a handwheel is used, eliminating the need for a bypass line. Personal opinion, for reference only!
The current trend is to equip control valves with handwheels wherever possible, as this facilitates on-site adjustment; furthermore, systems with a dual-block design that lack bypass manual valves must be equipped with manual control valves.
