What causes excessive vibration during the operation of the vaporizer in a cryogenic liquid storage tank? And what are the hazards? Are there any safety standards for safe operation in this regard?
Are you referring to that carburetor? Is it an amplifier built into the storage tank itself, or a vaporizer that uses liquid fed from outside? For those vaporizers that use liquid from outside, most of them employ a water bath heating method; such heaters generate a lot of vibration, probably due to water hammer effects inside. I’ve seen several vaporizers that make noise, and I’m still considering ways to solve this problem.
Is the poster referring to that type of water-bath vaporizer? If so, the friend upstairs is absolutely right; I support it. It is merely a unique phenomenon resulting from the phase change that occurs when water vapor absorbs heat. There is another term for it – the “piston hammer” phenomenon; it’s all based on the same principle. There really isn’t any good solution for this phenomenon at the moment.
