Our company is currently building 2 sleeve kilns. The plan for utilizing the waste heat from these two sleeve kilns is as follows: one kiln will be used for heating, while the other will be used to generate hot water for bathing. Relevant information is as follows: I. Local climate conditions: Average annual precipitation: 256.2 mm; Average annual temperature: 3.4°C; Highest recorded temperature: 38.4°C; Lowest recorded temperature: -31.4°C; Dominant wind direction: Northwest wind; Average wind speed: 5 m/s; Average annual humidity: between 15% and 21%; Average annual air pressure: 892.2 mbar. II. Usage details: 1. Heating area: 6,000㎡ ; 2. The amount of hot water needed for bathing is approximately 20T–30T per day ; 3. The distance from the site to the dormitory via pipelines is approximately 1,200 meters. III. Gas parameters for each kiln: 1. Properties of the flue gas after passing through the dust collector are as follows: flue gas volume – 76,000 Nm3/h (note: in standard cubic meters); temperature – 120°C to 150°C (varies with ambient temperature); composition of the flue gas: O2: 9%, H2O: 1%, N2: 56%, CO2: 34%; dust content: ≤30 mg/Nm3. 2. Properties of the flue gas before the dust collector are as follows: flue gas volume – 58,000 Nm3/h ; Temperature 200°C~230℃ ; Dust content: ≥50g/Nm3. If the requirement can be met after dust removal, it is advisable to install it after that process. It is because the amount of coal powder in front of the dust collector is too large, which can easily cause blockages in the pipes and makes it difficult to handle the collected dust. IV. Procurement plan and requirements: This includes a comprehensive set of systems such as heat exchangers, circulation pumps, valves, water softeners (whether electronic water treatment devices can perform this function), automatic control systems, and soot blowers (whether they are necessary). May I ask if there is enough space on site to install a bypass flue for the heat exchanger? This is because heating can only operate in winter, while in summer the smoke should be directed through the bypass. A bypass flue is also required for bathing water, as bathing is not necessary 24 hours a day. There are some issues with the water used for bathing, as it is tap water, and scale can form inside the heat exchanger; therefore, an alternative solution is needed. It is recommended to place the heat exchanger behind the dust collector. But if the particle size and composition of the dust are known, it can also be considered to be placed in front of a dust collector.
