There is a well in our house; it’s been almost two years now. The well water has always been good; I don’t know why, but recently, after pumping it up and boiling it, the water turned yellowish-red. Moreover, it was clear before boiling, there were no factories in the vicinity, and it wasn’t due to rain. I seek advice from those who are more experienced.
There are no factories in the vicinity, so the groundwater should not be polluted. Groundwater contains various minerals, and different substances in different states can exhibit different colors; if the water turns yellow, it is likely due to high iron content. If you’re worried, it’s best to take it to the environmental monitoring station for testing.
It’s unclear what substance causes the yellowish-red color in the original post – is it a perceived color or the actual color? It’s better to get it checked out; this isn’t something to take lightly!
