Please discuss: the advantages and disadvantages of 3D elbows and 1.5D elbows respectively. Is the stress on 3D elbows truly lower than that on 1.5D elbows?
1.5D is okay. The thickness of the 3D back is reduced significantly during the manufacturing process.

The 1.5D elbow is a commonly used type of elbow; the standard ASME 16.9 can be referred to for this purpose. In China, there is also a standard called GB/T12459-2005.
