There is a question regarding the connection between the junction box and the protective tube, and I would like to ask the more experienced colleagues for advice: the original design featured a rigid connection with a flexible joint. The construction party suggested using a disconnected design, with a section of the cable exposed; a protective lock nut was then added at one end of the protective tube. I wonder if this approach is reasonable?
HG/T 21581’s manual for automatic control installation outlines this approach; it is also acceptable to seal both ends, and this is referred to as discontinuous protection. However, it is recommended to use continuous protection, as in the case of discontinuous protection, if the exposed section of the cable is frequently passed over by operating equipment, mechanical damage to the cable can occur as a result of such contact.

This is quite strange – would the construction party voluntarily reduce the amount of installation? It is possible to do that, but then the amount of installation will be less; There are probably other reasons as well, but it is designed so that a live connection is easy to implement – a flexible tube is sufficient. In your case, if you need to disconnect it, it is also recommended to switch to a flexible cable conduit.
