Is there a difference between the solid content of the external slurry and that of the slurry returning to the tower?

Increasing the external discharge of the slurry can be used to control the solid content in it. How is this achieved? Is it because 1. some components that are lighter than the slurry were added at the bottom of the tower? 2. Is the solid content in the external slurry still higher than that in the slurry returning to the tower? Or is there some other reason? Please let me know
The solid content in the catalytic slurry is, in fact, a fine catalyst powder in equilibrium within the fine powder system of the distillation process. The fine catalyst powder carried away by the settler is the source; it includes the fine catalyst powder carried away by the slurry reprocessing section as well as that carried away by the externally discharged slurry. The solid content of the slurry is the result of analytical testing based on the balance among the three components. By increasing the amount of oil slurry discharged outward, the balance is disrupted; the inflow remains unchanged while the outflow increases, causing the equilibrium point to shift downward and the solid content in the oil slurry to decrease.
