Given the current market conditions, what is the profitability of hydrocracking units? Could everyone here discuss this from the perspectives of raw materials and production costs?
•A rough estimate of the capital investment for the two options shows that it is 6.7 billion yuan for the coking option and 9.2 billion yuan for the hydrogenation option; thus, the coking option is much cheaper. •At a price of 3,631 yuan per ton for Saudi light crude oil (equivalent to 46.5$/bbl). Based on the prices provided by the Institute of Economic and Technical Research for feasibility studies, the pre-tax sales profits for the two options are 861 million yuan and 1.449 billion yuan respectively. •Although the investment in the hydrogenation option is 2.5 billion yuan higher than that of the coking option, its annual benefits are 588 million yuan greater; based on this difference, the additional investment can be recovered in just over 4 years.
