It primarily utilizes the lignite resources of Jizhong Energy Group in Guyuan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, and Xilinhot, Inner Mongolia, employing the Lurgi gasification process and the methanization technology from the British company David. The project is controlled by Jizhong Energy at 51%, with five other companies – CNPC Emerging Energy Industry Group, Hebei Construction Investment Group, and China New Energy (**) Industrial Co., Ltd. – participating in its joint development.
