Yichang Nanbo Silicon Materials Co., Ltd. currently has an annual production capacity of 2,500 tons for its first-phase polysilicon project, while its project for producing fumed silica using polysilicon waste gases and residues has an annual capacity of 3,400 tons. They are currently carrying out a technical upgrade project for cold hydrogenation on their polysilicon production line. I don’t know what the recovery rate of silicon tetrachloride is once this project is completed. Will the silica project be shut down outright at that time, or will silicon tetrachloride be purchased from outside to produce both trichlorosilane and silica?
It will have to be done sooner or later. Cold hydrogenation reduces costs.
From his 11-year annual reports, it shows that the progress of the project is only 5%; it’s not clear whether work on it has been suspended
5% means it’s basically not started at all.
The cold hydrogenation process package uses DEI, and progress is currently quite slow!
